"I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.” — Revelation 3:8

At The Blackwell Farm, this verse feels especially close to home. Farming teaches us humility quickly. How small we really are, how much we depend on timing, weather, and grace beyond our control. There are seasons when strength feels limited, resources feel stretched, and progress looks slower than we imagined. And yet, God speaks hope right into that space: I have placed before you an open door.

An open door doesn’t always look like ease. Sometimes it looks like obedience in quiet places — showing up to tend the soil, planting seeds when conditions aren’t perfect, trusting that faithfulness matters even when results aren’t immediate. God doesn’t ask for endless strength; He honors faithfulness. You have kept my word.

At the farm, we see this truth in every bed we plant. A seed doesn’t push through the soil by its own power alone — it responds to the invitation God built into creation. Growth happens because the door has already been opened by Him. Our role is to step through it with TRUST.

Revelation 3:8 reminds us that God is the One who opens doors — opportunities, callings, seasons of growth — that no circumstance and no doubt can shut. Even when we feel small, unseen, or unsure, His promises remain steady.

As we continue building The Blackwell Farm, we hold this verse close. With little strength but willing hearts, we trust the open doors God has placed before us — believing that what He begins, He is faithful to grow.

Prayer from our Farm to your Home

Lord, thank You for opening doors we could never open on our own. Help us walk through them with humility, faith, and obedience. When our strength feels small, remind us that Your power is enough. Grow what You have planted — in our hearts, our work, and this land. In Jesus' Mighty and Holy name, Amen.

With love,
